Quitman, Ga. To solidify its entrance into the area, there was a ribbon-cutting event on November 7th. The event featured speeches from the company’s executive team and community leaders, live music from the local radio station, Star 105.3 WSTI-FM, and a donation to Brooks County Family Connection to offer support to the local community.
The newly built 16,000 square foot stand-alone Quitman store employs six associates. Like many of its stores, the Quitman location is individually owned and operated by a member of a large network of dealer owners. Quitman dealer Matt Pridemore started out working for the Badcock corporate brand, first as a store manager, and then as a Dealer Advisor. Eventually, he decided to make the leap to store ownership and now owns six stores throughout South Georgia and North Florida. “As a longtime member of the Badcock business family, I’m honored to bring this store to Quitman. While working on the corporate side of the company, I found my passion for building opportunities in the rural areas of South Georgia and North Florida,” says Pridemore. “We are locally-owned and our Store Manager, Dekarla Walker, was born right here in Brooks County. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and support from residents already and promise to support the community in every way possible.”
CEO and President, Rob Burnette comments, “We are happy to celebrate the opening of our new Quitman store and look forward to providing the community with great products and exceptional service.”
