And we have been treated in kind, as our local communities have offered their support when our stores have suffered devastating impacts from fires, hurricanes, and other kinds of destruction.

This year marks the milestone of 117 years in business for Badcock Home Furniture &more. in honor of this anniversary, stores will work hard to raise $117,000 for the Red Cross, who will use those funds to provide help and hope to people in need.

As the world’s largest humanitarian organization, the American Red Cross is able to reach people in need quickly, whether as small as one person who is helped after a home fire, or an entire community that is reeling from a catastrophic disaster. Every 8 minutes, the American Red Cross helps someone in need – and responds to more than 60,000 emergencies a year.
This has not been the first time Badcock Home Furniture &more has united with the American Red Cross to help with destruction. Our stores have experienced this destruction firsthand, and the American Red Cross has responded with immediate help.
“We knew immediately after the sun came up the next day that the sheer devastation was going to be bad. We knew that we were on a very long road to recovery. In the immediate hours following the devastation, the American Red Cross showed up with the necessary items we needed…” - Angel Burkett, an Inventory Analyst at the time, remembers firsthand how the American Red Cross came to the help of their Badcock store in the Florida Panhandle after Hurricane Michael devastated the area in October of 2018.
