Long ago in the year 1904, Henry Stanhope Badcock founded our company with a desire to bring quality home furnishings to residents of Mulberry, a small mining town in the heart of Central Florida. With a focus on treating people right, he opened up the first store which he later sold to his son, Wogan Stanhope Badcock. Wogan had a vision of expansion through a large network of dealers and a desire to offer reasonable installments so that everyone could afford to turn their house into a home. With his vision and drive, he revolutionized our company to resemble what the company still looks like today. Since two business-minded men with a shared middle name are the reason Badcock Home Furniture &more exists today, it only made sense to apply the name Stanhope to Badcock’s new brand of furniture.
